We are seeking skilled Designers to join our Detailed Engineering team within the Renewables Division. The ideal candidates will leverage their expertise in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation to support engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, part drawings for machining and forming, and structural drawings for pressure vessels, base frames, and related components.
- Create and maintain an Excel-based Bill of Materials (BOM) to support the fabrication process.
- Utilize 2D AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
- Familiarity with piping commodities and the ability to interpret piping and GA drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings to support design and integration efforts.
- Understand and adhere to customer specifications and project requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and quality assurance, to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage, which can enhance project efficiency and integration with the broader organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to support documentation and communication needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in the preparation of 2D fabrication drawings.
- TI Mechanical Draughtsman or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with 2D AutoCAD software, demonstrating the ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings.
- Familiarity with piping components, industry standards, and the ability to read and interpret P&IDs and GA drawings.
- Understanding of project-specific requirements and the ability to tailor designs accordingly.
- Knowledge of SAP is a valuable asset, as it can enhance project management and integration.
- Effective communication skills, enabling collaboration with team members and the ability to comprehend and meet customer specifications.
